I know this information is around here somewhere....I just cant seem to find it. Sorry!
I am looking for some kong stuffing recipes. We usually put peanut butter in them or the spray stuff by Kong....but, I need variety -- something to freeze perhaps!
It would seem that our dear boy Griffin has been getting bored lately, so bored, he managed to move his crate and chew a nice hole in my carpet!! He usually isnt left alone for very long, but when he is....the bones and peanut butter stuffed kongs must just not cut it anymore -- so, I would like to spruce up his kong with a new recipe.
Have any you wouldnt mind sharing?
Mashed up banana and plain non-fat yogurt.
Someone just recently posted about using non-sweetened Applesauce.
I just use PB on the small end, couple spoonfuls of plain or vanilla yogurt (you can try all different flavors!), and then PB on the big end. They love it! :P

I'll stuff it with whatever is in the fridge and is healthy. I'll cut up chunks of left over steak or chicken and mix in some carrots or brocoli, put it in the freezer to harden it up a little and let Rocky go to town on it. It's so funny watching him pick it up and drop it on the floor so the insides will loosen and fall out.
As with any great culinary art, basic technique is everything:
The Kong Web site has a million recipes (unfortunately it's an annoying Flash site, so I can't give you an exact address):
I plug the small end with a dab of PB, then drop in a Canidae biscuit finger. I fill the rest with fat-free, lite yogurt (various flavors) to about 1" from the top, seal again with PB, and freeze.

There are two that Koko really loves! I plug the ends with PB and stuff watermelon in and freeze. This is her fav it will take her about an hour to get every last bit of frozen yummys out! I also plug ends with PB put her dry food in and fill with water then freeze. She gets through this one in about 40 minutes. Enjoy and have fun!
By the way watch after the watermelon, Koko always seems to pee more than normal a few hours later!
Stuff ends with peanut butter and fill the inside with low sodium chicken stock, kibble and cheese cubes. Someone suggested to wrap the kong in saranwrap to prevent leaking and it has worked great for us!
Deb, are you sure the mouse didn't chew that hole?? Molly and Abby seem to think so and they would like to tell Griffin to admit nothing!!!
Molly likes kibble soaked in chicken broth frozen Keeps her nice and occupied
