Just curious if anyone owns this particular crate -- called a Noz-to-Noz Sof-Krate? And if so, are you happy with it?
I'm looking for a soft-sided crate and found this brand at Petco. Feel free to give other suggestions, but I'm really hoping to buy a soft-sided crate locally and avoid outrageous shipping charges.
The one I found locally is this one:
Yep!* They are awesome.* They are very durable, easy to put together and take down.* And (BONUS) you can buy a new cover from sitstay if your's ever rips and is not repairable.* ;D
The things I like about the crate:
1) It's all one piece.* No stupid poles to try to push thru a sleeve or poles to lose.
2)* It opens from the top and front.* I like this because I can put the bedding inside from the top without crawling in.* I can also give Murray water or treats by opening the top.* It also allows for more air flow with the top open.
3) I love that the top is flat, not rounded.* I use the top of my crate to set my leashes, arm bands, course maps, treats, toys, etc.
4) It has heavy duty zippers and reinforced corners.
5) My 11 yr old daughter can easily set up and take down this crate with the click of a button.
I have the N series.* I didn't feel the X series was worth the additional cost.* Basically the only difference is a roll down shade for the sides.* Being that we live in AZ, I want as much air flow as possible so I would never use the shades.* We set up under a tent anyway.
Another similar (by that I mean identical) crate is by Sof-Krate. Petsmart carries this brand. I've also seen Noz-2-Noz at Big Lots occasionally.
I don't have one of those. But if you are looking for an inexpensive soft sided crate and your dog isn't hard on the crates you might want to look at these. They are about midway down on this page. It is the sports pop up on this page from clean run.com http://www.cleanrun.com/category.cfm...TOKEN=85750483. They are only $24 and I like it real well because it folds like my sun shield in my car. The do not have any steel bars just the flexible wire around the frame. I have used mine in a hotel with Cinnamon and I took it to a doggie event so she would have shade. I got a few tent stakes to push in the ground in case it is windy it has loops for them. Weights next to nothing. The heighth is a little shorter but as all she does is lay in it and I got the largest size in length it fits her fine.
I got ones similar to the noz to noz at Big Lots for $49.

A lot of the agility folks use those crates.* They do not make one big enough for a Lab though...at least not my Labs.Originally Posted by azlab
I have the exact crate that is pictured in your link and I love it. Actually, I have two of them, to be exact. It's a good, sturdy soft crate. My first set of soft crates was the It's a Breeze series, and while they are lighter than the Noz-2-Noz crates they tend to flip over and are hard to set up. I also like the fact that you can buy a new cover for the Noz-2-Noz crates. I would certainly recommend them and would definitely buy them again.
I bookmarked it I was just talking with my friend the other night about when I start showing Angus, and realized I am going to have to get him a crate for that too. :
Sheesh! How many crates can I buy?!?! When am I done?!?!
Connie and "The Boys":
Angus, Yellow Lab, CGC, RE, CD
Simon, d.b.a. Flat Coated Retriever, CGC, RE, CD
Gone ahead, but forever in my heart:
Crash, Pit Bull x Rottweiler x Golden Retriever
Yup! We have one for Molly as her car crate and her beach house crate. I love it because it's easy to set up and take down
She's gotten a little rough with it (she attempted to chew it) and it held up great. I also like that the "cover" (if you will) is washable in case it gets dirty, which it has with somebody's muddy paws.

I have a NozToNoz; not sure of the model. I bought it a few years ago; online for around $99 (I got the very big one)! One suggestion; don't use it unless you are THERE with the dog ... it's not to be used as a regular crate. I had mine in the back of my truck and used it once to transport a rescue. Little sheot busted out of the front mesh, so now it's toast (or I guess I could sew it up)!
I have 16 wire and 6 soft so the answer is "quite a bit. " LOLOriginally Posted by AngusFangus
