I have heard many things and about the Furminator and have actually used one but my dog doesn't seem to like it, It has a lot of drag and he hates it. I haven't tried the zoom groom but I'm not entirely sold on it either. My friend just saw a video on youtube called fastandfurless but I haven't heard much about it. I was wondering if anyone has any input on the product. Thank you for your time and help.
The furminator pulls out far too much undercoat from a lab. I wouldn't use anything like that on their coat ever. Zoom Grooms are good because they just pull our loose undercoat which is fine for a lab not strip out all the undercoat like a furminator does.
The easiest way to care for a labs coat is to just use a nylon brush - brush your dog a couple times a week. The nylon bristles help to spread the dogs natural oils through the coat.
The furminator also cuts the outer coat if you aren't careful. You actually don't want Nylon, you want boars or natural bristles to spread the natural oils. And if you need to remove under coat, get a slicker brush.
I ordered the fast and furless gone to give it a try. Thanks for the replys will post my thoughts on the brush when I try it.
Well I received my fast and furless brush in the mail. It took some getting use to with the rotation depending on witch side of the dog I was on.
But my dog seem to like it and it glided through his coat real well!!! Brush is very well made, and you actually get two combs in one short and medium
Also forgot to mention. It really removes the dead hair and quick and you dont have to run the drill speed fast at all. Just wanted to pass the info along as I have found good info on this site already,in the short time I have member.
