    DefaultOutside Kennel

    Hi guys,
I am shopping for a outside Kennel for my 10 month old Lab (63lb). When I have to go someplace I usually crate him but i would like to be able to put him outside on really nice days.
I've been looking at these Outdoor Kennel

What do you guys think? My dog is not an escape artist and generally pretty mellow when he's not training. I don't think I need a fortress or anything.

    Opinions?

    Thanks

    -Neo

Looks nice! Sorry, no experience with kennels outside.

I prefer to have something like this with nice bedding inside. There are plastic ones as well. There is shade and it is water proof if it rains.

These are really popular around me... Check your local bylaws though, because where I live you can't leave dogs outside in your backyard.

For example here are some of ours...

Doghouses must be large enough for the dog to stand up, turn around, lie down and stretch its limbs to the fullest. They must be insulated; have clean dry bedding and shade; be in good repair; and comply with the City's Zoning by-law. There are extra requirements for each additional dog.

Pens must be 9.3 square metres or 100 square feet - to be increased by 2.8 square metres x 30 square feet for each additional dog. Animals must be out of the pen and not tethered for four hours in any 24 hour time period.

Better to keep the dog crated inside.
