A firiend of mine who does fly ball lost one of her top fly ball dogs this week. It was a Labrador named Tori. Tori got into the catís litter box and helped himself to a treat. The cat litter was the kind that clumps. It caused a blockage. They did surgery but the dog did not survive.
Do not let your dog eat kitty poop if you use the "clumping" kind of litter!!!
Oh wow. Sorry to hear about your friends loss. I'll be sure to tell my friends with dog/cat households to watch their pups.
Run free sweet Tori

Yikes!!! How tragic. Poor pup... :'(
That happened here about 13 years ago. A woman dumped clumping kitty litter into the woods. The neighborhood dogs started dying. It turned out they were eating kitty litter and tootsie rolls. She felt so horrible! It was tragic.
Sorry to hear about your friends dog. :'(
Thanks for the warning.* We keep Toby out of the basement where the litter box is, so hopefully we won't have a problem.*
Thanks for the warning. That's not something I would have thought about otherwise.
Won't someone please feed me!
Sorry to hear about your friend's loss.
That is really terrible. *I had read about how bad it could be for dogs because it actually expands in the stomach because it will absorb liquid which is what is does in the litter box. *
