:'(AS you may remember we wanted to adopt a lab from a resuce and last saturday were given Piper....pretty little 8 month old balck lab. The past week was great, she played with Mason, walked with us etc. But, Nancy;s aunt has been hospitalized with cancer and we all have a long road ahead, so we thought ibest to give piper back before the end of the three week trial period. I knew it would be hard, but not this hard. I have been crying for two days. Today at 1:00 she will go back to her foster home. I will miss her, and my heart aches each time I look at her today. I know it is best for her, but ouch does it hurt....please keep us and Piper in your prayers.
Hugs to you; I know it is very hard. The rescue will find her a good home.
I'm sorry. I hope Piper finds a wonderful home.

I'm sure they will find Piper a wonderful home.
Prayers for you also!
That is so sad...but it's best for you and for Piper.

(((((((((((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))))))))) It must be sooo hard.
that is rough...Piper is going to be okay..you did what is right for you...it is very hard, I am sorry.
I know how difficult this is for you. The first two dogs I got through a rescue had to go back, so I know how you are feeling.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
I'm sorry to hear that.
Thank you all for your thoughts. Piper was a trooper today. We got to the exhnage site, and her and I played and ran around. Then when the other;s showed up she quickly sat on my feet and pressed into me. But, she did recognize her foster mom, and went right to her. She looked back, we hugged and kissed her goodbye, and then she was gone. I cried the whole way home. Mason seems a little confused, and I keep looking in Piper's spot for her.......
