After all the sadness from the loss of JL Labs, I took Judy my old girl for a paddle boat ride which she enjoys more than anything else. She was moving around and I told her "better sit or you will fall in". Not a minute later, splash. She fell off the back of the boat. She's too heavy for me to pull up so we went to shore (not far for her to swim). She finally got out of the lake and I called her to get back on the boat from a nearby dock. I thought she would be happy to come back in but no. She did the regular Judy attitude "I'll come as soon as I finish sniffing around here". When my soaked girl finally came, I was almost angry, but had to think how much I love my girl and her aloof, cool attitude.
Ah, poor Judy. Are you sure she didn't just jump in for a swim? Just give her a hug.
See - I get cross with Jasper because he does the same especially in the morning on our walk when I think that I am in a hurry, then I feel mean as that's his time of the day !
Then I get home in plenty of time to get to work and feel even more guilty for chivying him along !
That's only on my crabby mornings I might add - not every time !
A bit on the haughty side, is she?
(The paddle boat sounds like a really great way to unwind at the end of the day!)

Silly Judy lol. My Sedona is a major diva and "come" to her means "yes, when I decide" lol. Needless to say we are retraining on that command.
Isn't it great to have a sister
I would love to see the look on her face if you got down and started sniffing with her!
Well......all depending on what she was sniffing.
Its so hard for me to remember to be nice to my old man. He's a wee bit of an ass and knows exactly what buttons to push and for how long before he comes to me like "Oooooh That COME, why didn't you just say so?"
Love the oldies. Especially the ones with 'tude!

I so understand the senior attitude - well actually Clancey had it all it's life.
I think that's why he lived to over 16 - he wasn't going to go until he was good and ready.
Just realized I can almost smile saying that now.
Mitziandjudy'smom~your story made me smile. I love hearing about your gang. Even though Jack is young, I know what you mean about the sadness and loss of JL Labs lately. Makes me give him an extra tight hug every time I read one.
Have to smile at Judy's tude!
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am
