for the first time today. I have been expecting it because he has been "over-peeing" where the others go. He waits for them to finish, then goes on that spot. Duke lifts leg, Bruno does not, and I told Tony to go like Bruno. Tony has been shadowing Duke, and going next to bushes that Duke has watered. Today he was watching Duke pee on a bush, then he immediately lifted his leg and over-peed Duke's spot on the bush. He must be pleased with himself because he's also peeing on the lawn with a leg lift even though he doesn't need to go much.
Cue applause for Tony :-)
LOL! The funny things we talk about that our dogs do. Way to go Tony!

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
The funny things that we are secretly proud of with our boy dogs (yeah - you go Tony!) Skippy never lifted his leg, but even though he was a very large boy, he had a tiny wee wee. Baxter has lifted his leg for a long time, loves to do pee overs (even with my husband). I don't let him pee on "people things" car tires, building, etc, but any plant, tree, etc is fair game - he also lifts his leg most of the time when just peeing on flat ground.
Kind of like a rite of passage, isn't it.
Seamus, who will be 11 years in November, has never hiked his leg to pee. Ever.

Way to go Tony!!!
Isn't it great to have a sister
Tony's getting to be a big boy. A very handsome big boy
The funniest thing I have seen in a long time is my little 13# rescue (recently neutered) fluff ball dog doing the overpee where my 85+# Labs go. Like he is the BDOC.
