    DefaultOh man, stinky!

Apparently a skunk just walked by the window, and the dogs heard it. Methinks they are not going out for the late night out! I have only seen skunks a few times in the twenty years I have been here, but have smelled them twice this year. YUCK!!!!!

Skunks and Porcupines are 2 woodland creatures you never want your dog to meet........... I don't know where in MI you are, I'm in "Mid. Mich" and we've had a lot of black bear sightings in the area in the last couple years. Another woodland creature not on the friend list. Hope your 4 legged kids don't get the chance to meet the skunk face to face!!

Just skunks here near Battle Creek, but I have some property near Ludington, and bears and porcupines are plentiful. I make sure everyone has ecollars on, have brushed up on instant recalls and everyone stays in sight!

Grandpa's dog Smokey, thought skunk spay was a cologne he always smelled. He was so sweet and loveable you couldn't help but pet him.

Hope your baby doesn't get tangled up with one.

If you see a person with a long face in the grocery check out buying 10 large cans of tomato juice you can tell they are not buying it to drink but rather as skunk remover.

We have skunks all the time! We have to do a sniff test before we let Sophie out at night! She has been skunked several times!

Last time I was at the vet, I saw they had Skunk Off shampoo. I bought a bottle. Just in case...

Do they emit an odor aside from a full on spray? I'm curious because taking a sniff before letting the boys out is probaby something I should be doing as well.

We just moved to a more rural area this spring and have seen (and smelled!) a number of skunks that were run over on the main street by our house. So far, we haven't seen any live ones on or near our property...but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. I'm not so concerned about Dozer getting tangled up with one (he tends to ignore everything), but I can guarantee that the curiosiy of seeing a strange animal would be too much for Rukus.
