    DefaultPuppy versus disabled dog

So last night we took Reece down to my mom and stepdad's to finally meet their dog Bandit. He is a 9 yr old pit bull they inherited when my brother passed. He has had a rough go the last couple of years, with major degeneration in his spine from the shoulders all the way to the hips. He had surgery a year ago and he can walk now, but he is still pretty limited.

He usually just ignores most dogs, so we figured he might grumble at Reece and she would leave him alone. So far she has been pretty good with adult dogs when they are not interested in play.

Surprisingly though, for some reason she kept licking and bugging Bandit and he wasn't getting upset at all. Eventually we could tell he REALLY wanted to play with her, thats why he wasn't grumbling. They worked out some form of play eventually, which was mostly just Reece running around in circles and bandit rolling around and play growling at her

(sorry if my fam was a bit noisy in the vid, lol)

We kept it all supervised, didn't want her leaping on him doing anything too crazy.

That is so sweet. Poor Bandit wanted to play so badly. He seemed to enjoy his limited play tho. Thanks for sharing that nice vid.

Perfect ! It's funny how it works the other way ! If my two meet some seniors on our walks, they are also very respectful !

    Bless their PB

Bandit is a good boy for all he has been through. I was surprised at how patient he was with Reece, he hasn't been around a puppy in years and with his back rarely gets out other then to the park where they walk him in volleyball court sand.

ROFL on the shoes and sandals comment. My mom, sis, and her step daughter are all super fashionable, something I definitely did not inherit!

That was so neat. What a handsome guy Bandit is, and Reece is such a good little pup. Looks like she got a case of the zoomies there towards the end!
