Well, I am really behind on updates with pics and videos, sorry about that!!
So here is a pic to hold you over in the meantime
Miss Reece is turning into quite the great lil gal. She is smart, mellow (except the first 5 minutes of a social occasion, she is still a lab!), respectful around other dogs (unless they want to play, then its GAME ON). The first couple weeks training was a little slow, but since then she has picked up new commands in no time at all. The crocodile is about 90% better on the nipping issues, excitement is her downfall. Potty training was 98% good after just a week, a couple weeks later she had two pee accidents and we changed up our signal system at the door and she has been 100% since. Our only challenge is leash pulling at this point.
My husband is a big hunter so I have been doing a lot of obedience to start but laying down ground work for training later. She has good retrieving drive and doing great at marking, also really starting to watch things 'up' in the air (all retrieving stuff is just for fun). But she is also very patient, so she shouldn't be hard to train to be steady. I have worked with her a lot on things like 'crate games' and other things to build restraint, she is awesome at this.
She does great for car rides. She grew out of the largest crate that fit in my car, so I have had to switch to a harness for the time being (hope to get another vehicle in 6 months and it will have room for a crate since that is safer). Clip her in and she lays right down (as long as the A/C vents are pointed at her of course).
Cats and her are doing good. Two have established 'don't come near me', and she is respecting that. One wants to play chase games occasionally, and that is a work in progress.
So she is coming right along.
I will try and add some photos and vid to this post in a day or so
