Wrigley hurt her tail last night and we are in the mountains until Monday. What can I give her to ease her pain until vet on Monday. She is being such a trooper though!
Is it cold tail? The tail is bent downward about there inches from the base?

yes I am guessing it is cold tail
Dogs can have aspirin and they sell a doggy form at walmart. I would use that in a pinch but I am sure you'll get better advice!
A plain adult aspirin would be fine if she is in a lot of pain. Cold tail usually only lasts a few days. I hope she feels better soon. They sure do look pitiful when they have it, the lack of a wagging tail on a Lab is very odd.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
traumeel, from the health food store.
one enteric coated aspirin given with a meal. Our lab is 85 lbs and can have one with her am and pm feeding if needed for pain.
If you can't get any enteric coated aspirin, just rest her. Cold tail usually resolves itself in a few days.
Man she is giving it her all, but that no tail wagging is just sad to look at! Thanks all!
Moka gets cold tail a few times a year (because she swims with her tail sticking straight up out of the water).
I don't give her anything for it. It clears up after a few days of looking more pathetic than usual.
