For those of you whom remember Chance the swimmer puppy...
I received an email from his adoptive mom, Leslie. Chance has crossed the rainbow bridge...
Godspeed sweet boy. Special thanks to Laura Labby for helping him get to the airport, Lonnie and Stacy for helping in transport, Joan for rehabing him, and Leslie and Ed for loving him.

I am writing this as many do in this situation because it is too hard to talk about, but for all of you who knew Chance and maybe saw some of what we saw so much of everyday - how special Chance was. He was quite simply the most wonderful dog Ed and I have ever had. He was "special" from the moment he was born as a swimmer pup. Dani Hiar with Central Michigan Labrador Retriever Rescue saw that twinkle of his love of life in his eyes and she was so right. He was full of fun and a very happy boy everyday. Regardless of his physical handicap he didn't know the difference between him and any other dog. He was ready to play. We lost him today due to a large tumor around his heart and he didn't suffer for long at all. We only learned of the tumor today when it apparently moved to an area which caused sudden, great difficulty breathing.
Thank you to Central Michigan Lab Rescue and Tugleywoods Labs for getting him to therapy after he was born so he could enjoy life to it's fullest. Chance the rescue puppy
We loved him so, so much.
