DefaultBragging rights and a few tears.

I took Todd on his first long weekend trip up to PA to visit my parents. I had been very skeptical and nervous of taking him up there as my mom has extremly debilitating arthritis and can barely get around. Needless to say, Todd can be a big clutz and is still trying to jump on people when he sees them. We are working on it and he is getting better, but...not good enough to be around my mom. She had been begging me to bring him for a visit to meet him...so I did. Well, I was SO proud of him. He was so good in the car, did NOT jump on my mom and was VERY well behaved. He even put up with her semi-vicious shit-zu very patiently. I was so worried about my mom and him behaving....it was such a relief, I cried on the way home. The power of a lab is just so amazing! My mom even got up and walked around a bit and sat outside with us. Here are some pix from the weekend:

It is amazing how they just "know" who they need to be gentle around. Way to go, Todd!

I know...really. I feel so bad that I spent all that time worrying about it and not taking him up there and he just made her SO happy.

They sure are amazing dogs. Bet it made your Mom's day, too. Nothing better then a sweet dog to pet

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
