I think she knew it was going to be a bad day before we ever got to the vet. I stayed in the bedroom this morning. She know that she gets fed as soon as I go downstairs. Usually before 6:00. Around 6:15 she was at the bed nudging, whining, low growl, finally a yip. I figured going out for a long walk might help pass the time without a constant guilt for not feeding her. That worked, and we were off to the vet. She was one unhappy dog when I started to leave without her. I don't think I ever saw her pull as hard on the leash as she was pulling from the vet toward me. Go ahead HK, make me feel guilty. I am trying to do the best thing for you, and you are making me feel guilty.
So now I will spend the day watching the clock and waiting for a phone call. Tick, tock, tick, tock.....
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
Awww! You are doing the best thing for her, but the guilt comes anyways, doesn't it? Sending lots of good thoughts for HK, will look for an update later on.
Good thoughts for your girl!
Sounds like a tough morning!
I hope it's over quick and she recovers nicely!
Good thoughts for HK. I hope today passes quickly, and your girl is home before you know it.

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
Hope it all goes well, Ed. Keep pacing...

Sending good thoughts and prayers.
Dropping Java off for her first knee surgery was hard, but she had no idea what she was there for so it wasn't too terrible.
Dropping her off for her second knee surgery 10 weeks later was HORRIBLE because she seemed to know exactly why she was there and what was going to happen. As they took her down the long hallway she looked back at me with the saddest eyes. I ran out to my car and sat there and cried for 10 minutes.
But-I knew that I was doing what was best for her.
I hope the surgery goes well. Please keep us updated.
Is she having TTA or TPLO?
