If using dew claws gets all that writing on your face then I'm getting their claws removed !

Very cute pic! I've noticed Murphy uses his for a very odd behavior in addition to the normal using them to hold a bully stick or toy. When he first gets up in the morning he uses his dewclaws to clean out the eye gunk that built up throughout the night. Curious if anyone else has seen this? It is pretty funny to watch but I have to make sure his dewclaws aren't sharp so he doesn't scratch his eye.

Now that I have two with dewclaws and two without, I'll have to start a log of who demarrows their marrow bones faster.

Buddy uses his dews to hold things all the time. Champ tries, but has no dews and things (like bones) slip out of his grasp.

One of my daughter's friends (11) told me I need to remove Ivy's dew claws and I had to explain to her that they use them and she was going to keep hers. How else would she jump up on everyone's bed?? :P
