DefaultThese Labs never cease to amaze me.

Ernie has a sore leg and having trouble getting on the bed. There is a peice from the corner sofa for him to climb onto first, but instead he stands and barks. Wakes me all hours.
Tonight I was in the bedroom and he started barking to get onto the bed. I tried to coax him on the sofa first, but no. He can do it so I gave up. He kept up the barking.

Then Tessa climbed on it and got onto the bed. Then she got off, then on and off again twice more. I thought she is showing him how to do it. Wow this is so cool. So I told her to get off the bed and patted the sofa. She climbed onto it, then the bed, then went down again.

My Ma Brown pretends she isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I think really she is smarter than she pretends.

Labs sure are fascinating, wonderful, clever dogs.

I agree with you, Chris. I love to sit back & watch the interaction between my two, it amazes me.

Did Ernie follow her lead? Or wait for Mom to help him up? Poor boy. I mean, poor you...you need your sleep. But POOR BOY. His leg hurts. MOM.

No he didn't. I had to pick him up and he is doing my back in. Tomorrow I am going to get her to train him. She has been so hard to train my eyes popped when I saw her do this. She knew he needed help. That or his barking was driving her nuts. lol.

Smart girl, Tessa. You know Mom needs a break and Erns is being stubborn. You show him how to get up there!

So true. Gracie is so good at acting nonchalont when she knows she may be scolded.
