DefaultThe Thundershirt seems to work on Duke

You may have heard that Wednesday evening that 16 tornado's tore through north central/east Texas. There were six fatalities in one town and untold property destruction.
I live east of those storms but I monitored the radar tracking and realized they would hit me sometimes after midnight. As Duke is an excellent storm detector I knew he would wake me up as soon as he sensed thunder. About 2 am he started to stir so I got up and put on his Thundershirt then I checked the weather site radar to see if there were any severe warnings. No warnings but I saw a large thunderstorm heading for us. It hit about 2:15 with strong winds, lightening, and thunder, and pouring rain. Normally when this happens Duke would crawl up next to my head in bed and start shaking. This time he stayed where he was at the foot of the bed without a trace of trembling. We got over 1" of rain in the twenty minutes it took for the storm to pass.
I am now convinced the Thundershirt really is effective in reducing anxiety.

That is great! I wish that they had been around when Lucy was alive. She was a mess whenever the asshats in my neighborhood got out the firecrackers.

Well that is about as good an endorsement for the shirt as you can get. So glad it's going to work for him!

Glad you were not in the path of any of those tornadoes, and very happy the Thunder Shirt works for Duke!

I think I am going to look into getting a couple for the boys, for traveling. They are both whiny messes in the car and anything over a couple of minutes makes me crazy listening to them.

Wow, sounds like it really worked for him! I've been toying with the idea of getting one for Dozer and know we're supposed to get a storm tonight. I think I might have to make a stop on the way home and pick one up for him.
