Good afternoon from California ~
I wanted to let you all know that Miss Haylee crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday afternoon. It was so sudden, I am still a bit numb. I did not frequent this board too much in the past few years, but I know there are some of you on here that will remember us.
We took Haylee to the vet last Sunday morning, as she was acting "off". X-rays revealed the sac around her heart was filled with fluid. They drained the fluid and she came home feeling a little better. Our vet, whom I adore, gave us the grim news that she had a tumor on her heart and that she did not have too long. Just take her home and spoil her. She declined very fast. By Wednesday she had stopped eating and her legs were going out from under her. We knew it was time.
She would have been 11 in January. We miss her so much but treasure the memories of that goofy brown dog. She took a piece of my heart with her.
Thank you for the years of advice and counsel during Haylee's tummy issues, both of her TPLO's and general doggie questions.
I am sorry for your loss.
