Whenever I go back on the recliner, Bruno jumps on my lap to take his place. He stretches out and rests his head on my shoulder exactly the was Mitzi always did. When Mitzi was still here, I remember he would stand back to wait to see if Mitz wanted on my lap. If she did, he would wait for her to jump off then took his turn as if he knew she had seniority rights. Now he's on my lap any chance he gets in "Mitzi position", stretched out with head on my right shoulder. I run my fingers through his thick wavy coat and he feels exactly like Mitzi. Now I understand the reason for the serendipitous way Bruno came into my life almost six years ago.
Sweet. Dylan does the same thing but likes to keep his back feet in contact with terra firma. He will stay like that for hours !
I love cuddle dogs. Tony will want a turn soon
Aw, that's nice.
That sounds awesome!
Dogs know what you need
That's so sweet. They always know what we need.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
Bear does something similar. He gets on top of me for back scratches. It soon elevates to rough play ending with him jumping off & going into a butt tuck with Buzz chasing him around the house.
Gotta love these Lapradors!
