    DefaultMy First Foster- meet Denver!

Picked him up today. He was sprung from a kill shelter in Texas a few weeks ago, was neutered and then transported north arriving this morning in NJ. He's a sweet boy, not entirely sure of his mix yet. I'm guessing Golden/Lab and possibly some hound in there. He is really, really skinny and needs to gain about 20 lbs. I can see every rib and his hip bones are quite prominent.

My dogs are a little miffed but at the end of the day today they were playing a bit together.

I would say Golden / Lab x... Nice mix regardless! Was he a stray? Good for you for taking him in. Anne

I don't have any info in his packet on how he landed in the shelter. He has pretty nice manners in general (besides some shameless counter surfing) so I suspect he was someone's pet once. He is quite smart and has been picking up on the other dogs routine and behaviors very quickly.

No accidents in the house thus far and a normal poop this morning after yesterday''s very bad diarrhea.

He's really handsome. I'll bet once he's put some weight on he's going to be a knockout! If I had him I think I'd be on my third foster fail.

LOL! no - he's not really my kind of dog. A little too much of a suck up for me. I'm not a real fan of Goldens and he acts very much like a Golden. But I agree - he will be handsome.

He has ears that are not like a Lab or a Golden. They are lower set and longer - like a setter or a coonhound. And his front is more shepherdy looking - very narrow through the shoulders. I think he has a few more breeds present.
