    Defaultreally bentley.

We had very bad flooding this week. Some road are still impassible. So for the first time in 3 days Bentley was taken on a long walk. We got to our off leash area and what does he do?? He takes a running leap right into the mudiest field. He looses balance and slips and gets covered in mud!! My yellow dog is black. Then on the way home he is running and once again jumps into the muddiest/sandy creek and now is not just covered in mud but now sand then he gets into a cow fence where thankfully the cattle were moved because of the flooding and rolls in cow crap!!! So I had a muddy/sandy/poopy dog. I had a old farmer tell me I was abusing my dog because my labs are town dogs and can't be real "dogs" this was right after this(Bentley had been cleaned) I just laughed and went the other way.
~It doesn't matter how smart the dog is,it matters how smart the owner is.

You forgot to add "happy" to muddy/sandy/poopy.

    Lol at this! Total truth.

As for the farmer, sounds like he was having a bad day. I would have had to laugh at that comment. (And at Bentley!)

Sorry but that story was funny!

As for the farmer, It sounds like he was just stressed from the flood. Been there, done that. It wasn't fair to take it out on you though. Full marks to you for the way you handled it.
