DefaultThe high cost of loving my dog.

Mardi is a true "velcro" dog and wants to touch me constantly. I don't really mind because I love her to pieces. However, she and I couldn't both fit comfortably in my old Lazy Boy lounger. She kept falling off if she tried to lie on her back and the only way that really worked was when she arrainged herself totally on top of me. She is tiny, but she is also very warm. I shopped for an affordable over-sized lounger and was astounded at current prices. I finally found an ugly tan monstrosity at Big Lots for $430, including tax. I managed to get both pieces crammed into the back of my Toyota Matrix wagon (had to wrestle out Mardi'as crate first and leave her and the crate home) and then almost killled myself hauling the chair into the house. I had to use the front stairs in order to manuever it inside and the ground is muddy and the stairs were icy. I am 69 years old and very proud of myself for not having to whine to a neighbor for help. However, I am also quite sore. The new recliner is too big to look nice in the TV room but Mardi and I now have enough room to recline side by side. She is very much loved but I may be a lilttle crazy.

You're not crazy!! I think that's sweet. Now you and Mardi can cuddle comfortably. Who cares if the chair is ugly. But next time: PLEASE GET HELP MOVING BIG STUFF!! Who's Mardi going to cuddle with if Mom hurts herself??

We bought leather furniture for the durability and the non-stick surface for dog hair...yep, we are crazy too...crazy about our doggies! I hope your muscles are forgiving!

Now sit down in your new recliner, call Mardi on your lap, and give yourself a well-deserved rest. Bruno is my only recliner lap dog, and it is so relaxing to have him on my lap.

We love them all so much, we'd do anything for them! Good for you for managing to get that chair in, but please don't hurt yourself!

Oh, and I bet Mardi thinks that chair is just beautiful!
