QuestionBrutal diarrhea... basmati or jasmine rice ok??

Of course it happens on a holiday! I think we got a bad bag of food, he started out with semi solid, then diarrhea, then today omg it was like his butt was a faucett

Only rice I have is basmati or jasmine - would one of those be ok? He can't have chicken as he is allergic, I don't have any ground beef & stores are closed. Can I give him just a complete meal of just rice??? Poor bubba! Returning the bag tomorrow for a different lot number.

I would think basmati over jasmine, or just fast.

I woudl fast (skip two meals all together - one full day) then I don't see the harm in either but you could hit the store and get regular rice.

I was hoping no one would say fasting! His tummy sounds like an alien invasion when I fast him I suppose since his dinner is already late I could just skip it & skip breakfast since the pet store doesn't open til 10am. Should his very next meal be regular white rice to ease him back or just give the new kibble?

Thanks you guys! It's been 2yrs since he's had diarrhea, I used to have canned pumpkin & white rice just for him stocked up but haven't needed it.

Fasting is a good idea, then plain white rice for the next couple of meals, until he has a normal poop. Then ease into the new bag of kibble.

Stores are all open here also. I always keep rice, plain pumpkin and ground beef in stock
I think I have used it once but it makes me feel better. Hoping Diesel feels better soon!

I'm a day late, how is he doing. If you have pepto bismal it might help on a pinch.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
