I took them with me this morning and stopped to give them a walk. On the way back to car a shop had a sale in scarves so thought get my neices one to take with me. We all tie our dogs up outside post offices, or shops. Even dog bowls and hooks to tie them to.
I tied them up keeping a check on them and they could see me in the shop. They were quite happy laying in the sun with people saying hello so when a woman asked to see the purple scarf I had for Laney I thought they are ok another moment won't hurt. She took forever...
The shop became quite busy and I couldn't see them from the window so I was on my way out to check them when I heard someone say"oh look there is a dog in the shop." Someone else said something about a dog, and I didn't take much notice as I was interested in seeing mine until I heard. " What a lovely black dog wearing a matching collar and lead with jandals."
At the counter looking around was Ernie. He looked so cute. The moment he saw me he rushed over to me tail wagging .His big brown eyes lit up as they recognised me but oh my gosh my heart stopped at the thought. It is a busy road with buses and trucks he came into the shop. I could see Tess still there and on my way out kept thinking how did he get off.
He was jumping around when I tied them up so must have put the tie out around the lead instead of through the handle. Lesson learned.
What a good boy coming into the shop to look for me rather than his usual wander.

What a great story and Erns is the best boy ever. He really just wanted to shop with his mama! So awesome to hear he is back to some of his old antics! Thanks for the smile Erns! Surely someone was watching over him to make sure he followed you and didn't run off.

He was a good boy. Lucky he went straight to you & not on the road or anywhere else. Doubly lucky that you weren't in a food shop. Imagine the fun he would have had!
Cute, but kinda scary. Glad he came in to find you.
I guess he was thinking you got lost and he better find you. What a good boy!!
Thanks for the cute Erns story. Yep I think he wanted to shop with mom. So glad that he is feeling better. Thanks Chris.
