DefaultIs Bodhi small for his age?

Hey guys just looking for general opinions here. Do you think Bodhi will be bigger than 55 lbs? Currently he is 47.5 at 5 months of age. Only reason I want to know is because I have to buy his flea and tick meds

Just a personal opinion, yes he looks like he will be bigger than 55 lbs. Especially considering his current weight and age. It really is best to check with your vet, you definitely don't want to use the wrong formula for flea/tick control. Your breeder should also be able to help you as she/he would be familiar with the size if mom and dad. He is a cutie!

Probably as an adult he will be 70+. I would get meds for the size he is now - not what he will be in several months.

I love the expression on his face! I'd think he's got a lot of growing to do.

Well I have always used K9 advantix on my other dogs and it has worked great. And they sell in 4 packs. So I was thinking get the 55lb+ pack of 4 since he is so close to 55lbs and not give it to him until he is 55lbs obviously. Which shouldnt be much longer. I would hate to get the 4 pack of the smaller one and not have it be effective enough.

70+!!! He is so little right now I feel like haha. Saw his K9's growing in yesterday. Couldn't believe it! My last dog wasa Golden retriever and he is with my ex now but he grew only to be right at 55lbs and I thought he was big!

Aw, what a cutie! I'm sure he'll be fairly big, but then again I am a first time lab owner. But these guys seem to have a lot of experience so I'm sure they're pretty accurate with their estimates.

I always wonder how people can tell how big puppies will be, experience I guess! I look at Jaxx and wonder how big he'll be. He's about 40lbs now but still has massive paws. :P

My show dogs run 10 pounds for every month of age up until about 7 or 8 months. So yes, I think your dog is going to get bigger. If you said he was 35# at 5 months, I would guess he would be a smaller lab.

That is my rule of thumb, too. It's been true for all three of my guys. But then Paddy and Seamus sprang into giant size around 2-1/2 to 3 years old! Paddy topped out at 110 pounds (tall, BIG boy) and I think Seamus is probably at 100 even (another tall, BIG boy).

Flynn was perfect (size-wise). He topped out at 87 muscular pounds. Maybe some of his weight was in his halo.

Mine are both in the mid to upper 80# range. Blaise was over 90 at one point heading to 100 with a bullet. Keg on legs material. But we cut WAY back on his food and he is much more svelte now.

    Gogeous puppy.

Kass was down at the lower end of the standard and weighed around 28 kilos. Think that is about 60 lbs.
Erns was a mobile coffee table when I got him. He is middle of the standard and was around 75lbs. He usually is around 60 due to his hips.

Tess is the tank in the family. She is as tall as Erns. She is solid and looks heavier than she is. She is around 70 lbs.Erns looks so dainty next to her.
