take it back now y'all
In a teeming rainstorm that included a fair amount of snow, I managed to get Wes to the vet. He has assured me he'll be okay and cannot wait to get home tomorrow.....
Vet has promised to call me the moment she can.

G'day mate,
New carpet's on order, so wear out whats in the pace room as much as you want to.
All the best, here's hoping for nothing but success.
Cheers,
Pottsie
Just saw the other thread, Dan. Why does he have to stay overnight?

Extra prayers headed Wes' way!
Dan be careful you don't want to wear a rut into the floor. If it gets too deep you'll be stuck down there.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
Sending god thoughts to Wes, you, and the vet. Everything goes right and your boy is home in the morning ready to go.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
Prayers for Wes and hoping to hear good news.
Pos-op is a little dicey. They want to continue to monitor the heart as the anesthesia wears off. Plus I was told that the site will be banadaged but that it may be 'weepy.' To quote the vet: "You really don't want to be the one changing that bandage. If he's going to get grumpy about it being messed with, better for him to be grumpy at us!"
Delivered in the most soothing, lyric British accent you could possibly imagine. Wesley will absolutely swoon at meeting this surgeon for the first time. He's being operated on by a doc who sounds just like Mary Poppins.
