DefaultDaisy's hunting days are over! :)

My dad had taken Daisy for a while to teach her how to hunt, and he wanted to keep her over the winter so she could ice fish with him. Right now I bounce back and forth between my parents house and my fiance's house (we get married Oct. 9th), and they live 6.5 hours away from each other. My dad is usually gone quite often in the winter ice fishing (he is a construction crew supervisor in the work season). So, my Daisy time was to be limited.

Well, I missed her like CRAZY and had to bust dad's bubble and take her back. She was with him over Thanksgiving and up until mid-last week. She did good flushing a few birds I was told and did complete one retrieve! I'm very proud of her, but glad she's back rolling around with a toy in her mouth in the mornings, pestering me like she's never eaten when it's almost supper time, whinning while she yawns, riding snug up against my thigh when we are in my truck, and laying her head on my lap at night while I do homework!

I was hanging out with Lola while my dad had Daisy, but Lola went back with her daddy (fiance) now that Daisy is home. Daisy and I are currently visiting the parents. Lola missed her daddy and cried and whined with glee when I took her home, although we sure had fun sharing my bed at night and walking in the morning and then playing a few good games of fetch and frisbee.

So, just had to update! I sure missed my girl! Pictures to come this week.

Awww sounds like Daisy had fun, but I can't imagine being away from my Abbey girl for that long - I think I would cry.. even if I knew she was with my parents.

Awww, welcome back home Daisy! I'm sure you had fun at your Grand pa's, but home is best.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am

Oh I am so glad you have your girl back with you. I could not be away from Abbey or Coco for that long. I bet your Dad enjoyed her company though. Maybe she can spend a little time with him again when you are on your honeymoon!

Sounds like your dad needs a lab of his own.

He really does, but he needs to get past my mother, first. She was okay with him having Daisy over the winter, as she thought there would be times when I'd have her or I'd be home here and there to help, etc. She is in no way interested in having a 'big' dog full time. And of course in the spring/summer/fall when he's working, she'd be back with me.

She has always had small dogs (Shelties mostly), and right now has a miniature Aussie Shepherd.
