I have a party and invite other doggie friends to celebrate.
I have a little family party.
No party, but my dog gets extra special treats and/or toys.
I don't do anything different on that day.
Maybe it's because we're not big celebrators to begin with and/or maybe it's because we don't really know Bella's birthday but only know her gotcha day and/or maybe it's because we figure it doesn't mean anything to her. The bottom line is that SU and I don't do anything except maybe mention it to each other if we happen to notice the date.
Does the sun shine ?
I celebrate both, but I just get her a new stuffy/Nylabone and I'll make her dog cupcakes.. sometimes I give them to my friends' dogs'
On her birthday (or like the rest of the family the weekend closest to it) Cinnamon get her favorite meal, leg of lamb cook on the grill which she shares with my father. In turn my father shares his with her when his birthday comes in May. Come to think of it I make both of them carrot cakes also though I don't frost the portion Cinnamon gets.
She gets presents on her birthday which is Nov 18th. On her gottcha day which is Jan 14th I usually make sure she gets something special like a nice bone but no big deal is made of it.
Karon and Cinnamon
I celebrate their birthdays with extra treats!

The last several years, I've taken Puff to Lowe's (mega home improvement store like Home Depot), put a blanket in the bottom of the wire mesh of a shopping cart, and wheeled her through the store.
She L♥VES riding through Lowe's like that.

These days are bitter sweet as it is also Kassys birthday and I adopted him not long after she passed. Erns can't have any other food than his presciption diet or rice cakes I make.
Erns and any other dog around go to Kassa favourite park and have a special treat or game in her garden.
We still celebrate her gotcha day as she didn't have enough of those special days.
Christmas they get a gift in their stockings. I still put Kassas stocking out.
I sure do! Daisy turns 1 on Dec. 21st and I'm already shopping for her toys, which I'll wrap and let her unwrap and looking for the perfect doggie-cake, unless I make pupcakes.
For Lola we always celebrate the day I found her (Jan. 7th) and she will get the same things Daisy gets this yea, so I'll order double of everything pretty soon, especially because they like to share toys.
The little Aussie, Shadie, that I share with my parents (though she's mostly become theirs after their sheltie passed) had a birthday bash last year while I was at college. I took her to PetCo, she picked out toys and then my roommate and I had some cake with her. Her b-day is Feb. 11. So, 3 b-days/gotchya's all in a 'row' around here!
They all will get Christmas presents too, in their stockings.

Lola, our mellow yellow gal. Gotcha on 1-7-07
Sammi gets a special treat, usually a big ol' juicy marrow bone freshly bought from the meat market! Her favorite thing in the whole world! No parties though- but then we don't do party's for anything!
