He has discovered his inner puppy. I'm seeing him do things he hasn't done since he was, well, a puppy! And puppy-like things I've never seen him do, ever.
He's resumed our very old game of nose-poke tennis ball; he lies there and I roll it to his outstretched paws; he returns it to me with a dead accurate nose-poke. He made up this game before he was one year old.
He's discovered head tilting! Not quite in Ender's league, but I've NEVER seen Sheamie do the sweet head tilt until now.
Sometimes he'll do a grand sit (trot into the room, do one circle, then PLOP) with his eyes lit up like stars and then he does this thing with his ears... pricked forward just a tad and this little... smile! "Wanna do something fun, mom?"
On the grownup dog-side-of-life he has taken matters well in paw by commandeering my side of the bed; I now get the middle with the other guys in their usual places.
Sad circumstances brought about some very happy outcomes.
Seamus and Flynn
Aww! like the rainbow after the storm...bittersweet and so endearing!
Awww, sweet sweet boy. We can never really understand them...just love them. Sometimes I think that if we could ever get into that Lab head, there's so much there that we can learn from them.
Isn't it great to have a sister
