Just welcomed a new edition. Meet Logan...Black 2year old lab. He is a ex-showdog that has a mild elbow dysplasia. That killed his show dog days and he has transitioned very quickly into our home. Jumped into the back seat of my truck put his head down on shoulder and rode all the way home. When we got out of the truck he looked around and proceeded to water every tree till he ran out of "ammo". He walked into the house and proceeded to lick the cat which shocked everybody especially the cat. Found the food and water dishes and looked at me like is was looking for dinner. Went back out side and show him around. He pooped at the same place that my other lab went. My wife is sure that Shilo was helping show him the ropes.
Its been 3 days and we already have our own routine when it comes to feeding and bathroom behaviour. I cannot believe how adaptable he is. He loves my son's chocolate lab. They say a picture speaks a thousand words and the picture of the 2 of them hanging says volumes
The only issue I see is my cat regaining his dignity but when Logan is sleeping the cat sneeks up and smells him.
I gave advice to everybody on my first post about not taking your lab for granted.. I will take my own advice.
He's a very handsome guy! Congratulations! Love the pic of the 2 of them together.
Be careful about allowing him to jump out of your truck -avoid any unnecessary stress on that elbow.
