When I moved into my new house, the further distance left me unable to continue classes with the previous trainer (who I really enjoyed and she really understood my dogs). I started up at a new club about 7 weeks ago and I really like it!
Abbey and I are in the pre-novice obedience class and will be entering our first beginner novice trial November 3rd and 4th. Basically they have the same classes that keep repeating, so I will probably repeat this class a couple of times until we are solid and have completed our AKC BN and CD titles. Then we would move into the pre-open class.
I will admit that I've been slacking with Kolby - with the new house, work and everything else going on, I haven't been teaching him anything new. I took him to the park on Sunday and he was soooo happy to heel, sit, stay, down, etc. I talked to my instructor and she told me I could bring both dogs to class on Monday and split the class between the two of them. It's really a good idea since most dogs get tired about halfway through the class anyways, so we'll see! I need help learning how to teach Kolby since he doesn't catch onto things as quickly as Abbey does and I get frustrated.
So Monday both dogs will start class... oh boy! :P
That's good of her to do, and good for Kolby. What will you do with the one you're not working at the time?
