Three days in a row, Zoe and her mom were at the park in the early morning. I saw here and went intot he 'small and frail dog' area. Separately fenced. Others did the same. I guess the lady got the idea that we weren't comfortable with Zoe and on the 4th day, she took Zoe into that area and let us have the rest of the park. (Not a problem for small dog owners. They don't show up in the early morning.<g>)
The next day, with her in the smaller area and several of us in the big area, she called us over to tell us she had been looking for a basket type muzzle in town but couldn't find one, so she had ordered on online. She hopes it will work and we can all be comfortable together again.
I hope it works. I think we got through to her. I believe she is trying now.
Well at least a little bit of the info got through the lady's thick head.. but more important than a muzzle, she should probably talk to a behaviorist.. would probably help A LOT.. then maybe determine if she's okay at the park, with or without a muzzle.
I just hate to see what happens if Zoe comes into contact with a small/frail dog!
My thought is that she will put her own dog at risk if or when it attacks another dog with that muzzle on. The dog she attacks will fight back for sure an do damage. Not a good idea at all IMHO.
A muzzle is very likely going to send this dog right over the edge.
