What a good boy!! He hates being brushed so I break out the good treats - the venison strips that he loves but I hate because they give him horrible gas! I break them in half and rest them on the top of his food bin (about knee high for an adult, perfect height for a Lab's mouth!) and give him a few during brushing and leave a few for after brushing praises.
After brushing him I realized it had been almost a whole week since I last swept the kitchen floor & after brushing it's like 10x worse in a few minutes! So I quickly grabbed the broom & swept up, then I started doing dishes, I even took out the trash -- in a townhouse so I had to go down a flight of stairs and into the garage. I came back upstairs to see Diesel sitting with his back to me in the same spot he was for his brushing, about a foot away from his food bin. I called him and he slooooowly turned his head around and this huge line of drool followed... that's when I saw that I had left some treats sitting on the food bin. He hadn't touched it, in fact he hadn't moved from the moment I picked up the broom til I called him.... almost 20min had gone by!! I can't get over it, what a good boy, I had never even said "leave it!"
good boy diesel!
Diesel, you are such a good boy. Tell mama you deserve a few more!
