    DefaultTessa is home.

She did hurt herself. Yesterday when I picked her up the vets were pleased she had her foot on the floor. After the fall she is holding her leg high and the swelling has increased.
The vet isn't sure if it is muscle or a fine hairline crack on the tibia which isn't showing on the xray that is causing the swelling. She said after surgery it does weaken in until it mends. It comes right on its own.The plate and screws seem ok. The healing will take longer and we have to be extra careful with her.I just hope there isn't any lasting damage due to the fall.

They wanted to keep her another day, but I suggested she might feel better at home.

She must have come down hard as she has a chunk of skin off the ankle. Poor wee girl.

Boy, Chris... you are nicer than I am! I would be so upset! It seems like this could have been avoided. I am glad she is home, where her mama can take good care of our girl!

I am upset, and agree it could have been avoided, but has happened and have to move on. For some reason he didn't have his head together and could have been something bad happened in his life. I feel bad for Tess as she is the one in more pain than is necessary. I am just hoping there isn't any long term damage.

Glad she is at home! That must have been some fall, and should have been avoided. I am sure Tessa is happier at home!

Glad she is home - you will take great care of her! You're a good person, Chris! I'd be ripping the vet a new one! Hugs for your girl - and you!

Me too. Sounds like home is the safest place for her. You're a lot more forgiving than I would have been.

Sending prayers for fast and painless recovery. Glad she's home.

Tess is a lucky girl having you as a mother. You are doing a GREAT job!
