    DefaultDosages?

I recently added aspirin and benadryl to the dog bag. Man, I love that thing...what looks like a pocket in front opens up into almost a shelf, with both sides lined with different size pockets, for first aid gear.

Anyway, I've done a search and can't find anything...could anyone tell me the dosages for those two things?

I don't know aspirin off the top of my head, but benadryl is 1mg/lb and can be safely doubled.

I found this chart that seem's pretty accurate. I use baby aspirin or enteric coated, for some reason I have both for her.

    Dog's Weight Aspirin Dosage
Less than 10 lbs 1/2 aspirin (baby)
11 lbs to 30 lbs 1 aspirin (baby)
31 lbs to 50 lbs 1/2 aspirin (regular)
51 lbs to 100 lbs 1 aspirin (regular)
More than 101 lbs 2 aspirins (regular)
some say 5-15 mg/lb I usually stick with 10mg/lb, just middle of the road..

Thanks, folks. That's just what I needed. I wonder why the first aid kit has gone from a ziplock bag to a dog handler's bag.

Sammi is a whole basket that just travels with us or is ready at home anytime we need it. There's a whole list of stuff in there from a couple common antibiotics to vet wrap

Our last dog couldn't tolerate asprin. We even tried buffered asprin and she threw it up. I hope you have better luck...
