I decided to finally produce one of my favorite pinterest pins and used Maddox as my first subject. This is an 8x10 canvas featuring an image of Maddox at the beach last week. There will be many more to come! Total cost was about $8 vs. the $25+ that I could have paid a photo service to produce.

I got a Walmart digital print in 8x10 and the same size canvas from a craft store, did several layers of mod podge and some black acrylic paint. I thought it would be more difficult than it sounded, but the hardest part was waiting 15-20 minutes between layers of mod podge.

    That looks brilliant. Great job.
Do you need to put a coating over the top or does the mod podge seal it.

I did a small one for a friend with a N.Z. pattern on it and it looked all wrinkly. Print 8x10 here costs about $15.00.

The mod podge seals it. They have a mod podge paper version that is meant for thinner papers and is said to prevent wrinkling. Also, thin coats are better at least for the 1st 2 coats.

My 8x10 was about $2.50. $15 is outrageous!
