    DefaultSophie sneezing...

This is the second time this has happened. This time its not as bad. Last time we thought she got a foxtail up her nose and she was sneezing almost constantly until her nose started to bleed. Scary! It was right after she had been in tall grass. This time, she went in to go to bed with my husband and hopped on the bed. She sneezed several times. She slept fine, but sneezed a time or two during the night. She has sneezed only a couple of times today. I can't pinpoint anything that could have gotten up her nose, she hadn't been outside right before it started. She seems like she feels fine. Appetitie good, and very playful. She enjoyed her walk and is napping. Have any of you had your dogs have episodes of sneezing?

Pam, Diesel has had this a few times. I was a little worried as he sneezed SO hard and like five times in a row, but then he went to sleep and nothing after. It has happened again but seems nothing in particular starts it, no bleeding, no shortness of breath/trouble breathing, etc so I stopped worrying & just figured it was dust up his nose

Thanks...I guess it is just one of those things. The last time, her nose bled, and about 2 or 3 weeks later she had that really scary episode when she sort of acted like a dog with parkinson's. The vet thought it could have been a foxtail that traveled up her nose and became inflamed causing neuro symptoms. Meds and she has been fine. This time, I have no clue what triggered it. It started at bed time. She sneezed a few times and a couple during the night and a couple today. I haven't heard her sneeze since about 2pm today and it is now the next morning at almost 1am...She didn't sneeze quite as hard this time. I don't remember my last girl doing this...maybe I just forgot....These labbies keep us worried...

I can understand your worrying after that foxtail episode. Mine sneeze every so often, even several times in a row, but never any serious consequences. Probably a little dust or pollen up the nose. I learned to get out of the way during a sneezing session; that nose comes down hard.

Erns goes through times he will do it and I start to worry then stops. Both he and Tessa get runny noses and sneeze so maybe pollen.

    Good thoughts Sophie is o.k.

I remember Sophie having that episode before, glad this time no bleeding, etc. Hope it's just a case of dust!

Mine sneeze really hard once in awhile, hard enough that they whack ther nose onhe ground, and after several times of that I would expect bleeding. I do worry about foxtails as they are around here.
