    DefaultMy labrador ear

I have 4.5 months old labrador. I had recently noticed that His left ear is slightly back and seems a little upward. Before both the ears were normal as other labradors. was it because he is teething??
or other?? will it go normal???

Can you post some pictures of it? Did you look inside the ear? Does it look gunky, or red or rashy under the flap? I have never heard of teething causing something like this.

I agree with Pam, check out his ears. Bauer holds his ears funny when he has an ear infection.

I found this thread which talks about the same thing: https://www.justlabradors.com/forum/l...ooked-ear.html

I have never heard of it before, but I guess teething can cause some strange ear things.

Never thought of it with Labs, but I know teething can cause ears like a GSD's to do wanky things. Guess it just isn't as noticable with Labs.

Sometimes when Rukus is at attention (but not always) one of his ears sits funny like that. We just call it his goofy ear. For him it doesn't have anything to do with infection or teething (he's 7), it's just one of his quirks that make him who he is.

Never knew that.. sounds like it could be from teething. Huh.

Bentley used to do that all the time!! I think it started when he was in his late 3rd month/early 4th month. He's 6 months old now. He had no infections, no irritations, no cuts...nothing. He just up and flopped his ears over, just like that picture. We called them his little wings, hahahaha.

I knew he was a mixed lab, though, so I thought it was just because of his mixed genes...his mom was a black lab mix with the half floppy, half pointy shepherd-like ears and his dad was full on chocolate lab. Although now that I think about it, he hasn't held his ears in a while...and he has lost all his teeth, with his adult teeth growing in. How weird would that be if the two were related?!
