    Defaultlonger muzzle

It seems to me that Cassie's muzzle is longer than other labs, other labs muzzles are shorter. Do you also think her muzzle is longer? If it is why is she different? Both of her parents are pure labradors. ...yeap, now that I see her again she does have a long muzzle! Is she a doodley?

Some lines have a longer muzzle than others. Then there is the whole field/bench thing- field bred Labs seem to have a slightly longer muzzle than show/bench bred ones. It could also be her age. I know Caleb went through a stage where his muzzle looked longer for awhile.

I think you mean dudley. No, Cassie isn't a dudley. Dudlies are yellows that lack black pigment. An easier way to describe it is dudleys are yellow Labs with the skin and eye color of a chocolate.

Other labs on her age do have shorter muzzles. Anyway, Thanx for your information. And whatever she is I love her a lot, I was just curious

She's a cutie. It's very obvious you love her a lot. She's a lucky pup.

Length of muzzle varies on pedigree and just the randomness of genetics.

Both of my labs have longer muzzles. Kaity is of the field lines and Dio is a mix of field and bench. I like it, makes them look more puppyish which appeals to me.

I like both, so I would like to have one each.

If you look at old pics of show Labs they used to have longer muzzles than today´s show Labs. If you look at it this way, a longer muzzle could hold better the game than a shorter muzzle (like most hunting dogs, i.e. pointers, setters, weimaraners, etc, they all have long muzzles).

My dogs, Misha and Homer, are cousins. Homer´s mother was Misha´s mother´s sister (litter sisters). Misha has a longer muzzle than Homer, both come from show lines and share probably 80% of their pedigrees. It really is irrelevant unless you want to show your dog.

nah! I don't want to show my dog. My dog is for me and not for the eyes of others neither for contents and prizes. I don't do that.

Thank you all for the info.
