Zack got a lot worse last night and had to take him to the emergency vet. He has Vestibular Syndrome. They recommended giving him a 25mg of Meclizine (Bonine) once a day for 3-5 days. We have seen a little improvement. His world is spinning and can not really walk or stand up by himself. The eyes fluttering has gotten better and he is a least resting today instead of panting and being agitated like yesterday. Keeping our fingers crossed. We thought for sure that this was the end for him, But, at 13 he is a fighter and hoping this works. Just spoke with Zack's vet and he wants us to give the Meclizine (motion sickness medicine) for 7 days. If Zack gets worse, needs to check him out, but right now he is resting and being pretty good about everything.
Thanks for all the support.

That's good to hear! Glad it got figured out so quickly & is treatable. Poor boy, must feel awful to be so dizzy! Continued good thoughts he improves with the meds!
Hoping the dramamine continues to improve his condition.

Continued thoughts and prayers here too!
I knew a lab who had this problem in her dotage and after a very short time got all better and lived a couple more years. Hope yours does also.
