Simon is doing fine. Very worn out and a little woozy, but fine. They said he never really even went under completely.
He was so scared when they took him back, away from me. He was pulling and scrambling to come back to mom. I sat there with tears in my eyes.
We won't know the results for a couple of weeks. He gets his stitches out about then. Until then, conehead AND, no fetch, only leash walks. That is not going to go over well with Simon at all. Angus could have dealt with that better than Simon.
They gave me the option of Ace, which I took. They said I might want to go ahead and give him one when we got home, and I was going to, but as he relaxed in his own surroundings he seemed a little wobbly, and he just laid down, where he has stayed. So, I think I'll skip it tonight.
I talked to the vet afterwards to see if he had any kind of clue. He doesn't. Doesn't think it's mange. I am really hoping for mange actually, because that sounds fairly straightforward and easy to fix. The other options - environmental allergy or contaminant - sound infinitely more complicated to figure out and treat.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the biopsy shows. Thanks for all the good thoughts. I'm going to go back down and check on him.
Hopefully they can figure out what is going on and bring your boys some relief.

Prayers for all of you. Poor little conehead
Hope for some answers and it's something easily fixed Connie. This will be two long weeks for you.

I hope they get to the bottom of it this time. Thanks for keeping us updated!
This is so bizarre, and I'm sorry that you're having so much trouble getting to the bottom of it. I'm glad that the procedure was uneventful and that Simon is resting peacefully now.
Here's hoping it's just the Hong Kong Hangnails...
Sending good thoughts. I hope they figure it out soon and the boys (and you) get some relief.
