Jack went for his third and final heartworm injection on Wednesday. He is on rest for 2 weeks and then he's free to run and play. He's been pretty sleepy and rested a lot since Wednesday. I spoke with a local dog trainer about a few of the issues we need help with and she's coming by on June 19th to meet Jack. Mainly, we cannot walk him on a leash. He has no leash manners at all. He's also had a few accidents with peeing inside....and we want to see what we are doing wrong so we can prevent that from becoming a problem. She says with what he's been thru: coming from a background we are unsure of, being at the pound, living in several foster homes, then moving here with us + being treated for heartworms and recently neutered - we need to start over like he's a puppy to teach him manners. She comes highly recommended and our conversation went great. I'm looking forward to her help.
Here are some photos of our handsome boy.
He loves riding in the car. He cracks me up curling up in the seat.

Jack is so cute. I am glad he is finished with his treatments. The training will come.
I am so thankful you came along....those old heart worms would have gotten that sweet boy if not for you.
