A few years ago, Diesel busted through the screen door on our sliders and broke the track, thus no more screen door. I missed the bugless air flow, so when I saw a possible replacement, snatched it up.
I bought a Magic Mesh screen, basically a mesh curtain attached with Velcro strips and held closed with magnets. It was just 15 bucks and it actually works.
The dogs figured it out in the first day (Blaise right away, Diesel after a few lessons) and they can let themselves in and out. Anyway, if you don't have a doggie door or need a screen on a doorway like we did, it's worth a try!

I saw that and wondered if it would work at my house, where I only have storm doors! I'm going to give it a try! Thanks!

We got one for the door to the garage as we'd have to cut headers to install a real door. It has been up for several weeks now with no problems - but we did use the tacks as well as the velcro to attach. We also have to be careful as it gets stuck to the metal inside door if you don't watch it...and, I see the potential for mice coming in from the garage when the weather starts to turn - but it does a great job of creating the cross breeze we didn't have before!
Thanks for the tip! We are having a door replaces with sliders and I could just see the dogs running square through the screen. This looks like a perfect solution! I actually say these at the Christmas Tree Shop in my area for $7!

Thanks! I remember seeing it on TV, but forgot about it. When we are outside Bauer is always right with us, but sometimes I know he wants to go inside (he will start to walk away, then turn and stare at me . . . like, come on follow me PLEASE!). This way he could let himself in. I'm going to look this evening.

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
if you have a bed bath and beyond - they have 'em and you can use the 20% discount coupons they send on it too...
I had to replace the screening due to the prior dog (a Dutch Shepherd) clawing the screen open - so I put in heavy duty animal proof screen - so when Diesel launched himself through it instead of the screen giving way the whole door broke off at the track. Not the best decision I guess.
I'm just trying to keep the flies and stinkbugs out - we really don't have any rodent problem here so that's not a concern. It does not attach at the bottom so rodents would have no trouble getting in.

Hmm. I think I will have to try this.

I got one of those a couple years back.
Its a more expensive version of the Magic Mesh.
Anyway, it works awesome, but if you have three
dogs who like to run through it at warp speed, you
will have to tack the top down with screws or else
it will just keep falling down.
I always wondered about those......thanks for posting this. I am actually looking for something like this to lead out to our deck.
