Glad HK was not injured and hope she (& you) has no PTSD. Gosh, that was scary.
Sounds like you have a great group at the DP -- with 1 or 2 exceptions.
It's hard to know what was going on in that woman's thinking -- my best guess (if she was thinking) is that she was hoping that with enough positive, playing experiences that Zoe would somehow "outgrow" her aggressiveness. Poor Zoe -- she deserves a much better custodian.
I used to carry a cannister of "Guard Alaska Bear Repellent" -- a super strong mace type spray that shoots 20-25 feet/6-8 m. but it started leaking after 7 years. I need to order another. Thanks, very much. I wasn't aware of that. Very good to know.for those that are going to take your dogs to dp's and other places where strange dogs are, you need to learn the proper way to break up a dog fight and keep yourself out of it. google the wheelbarrow way of breaking up a dog fight. i've used it and it works.

Oh Ed. What a scary thing! Glad HK is ok. Shame on that woman for letting Zoe have another chance to attack. I'm always on high alert at the DP since I don't know most of the dogs there (and even with the ones I do). Hope HK isn't traumatized and can still her outings to the DP.

Ed, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to HK. Thank goodness she was not hurt, given the history with this dog. It's really unfortunate that there are irresponsible, stupid dumb as sh*t dog owners out there who have to sour the dog park experience for others. Unfortunately, this is why I will NEVER take either of my boys inside a dog park.
Please give HK lots of kisses and bellyrubs from us!!

Wow, I'm sorry that happened to HK. After Bella was being so bullied over and over by an aggressive dog in Vegas I was very worried about taking her back. In fact we didn't go back because of fear of that dog being there. In our case the owner did nothing, we had to remove ourselves from them to protect our girl.
I feel so bad for the other dogs that were attacked before HK. What a sad situation all around.
Sweet Bella Mia at Zion National Park.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
If it were my dog that had been attacked, you had better bet I would have had her put down. If she attacks again, no offence, but its on you just as much as it is on her owner; especially since you know the owner does not take heed the warnings and behaves irresposibly. IMO of course. Or worse yet, if she attacks a child...no exceptions from me. The fact that is that the owner doesn't care.
I'm glad HK isn't hurt, but IMO you made the wrong and irresponsible decision.
