DefaultWalk in the woods today (pics)

Everyone took a walk in the woods today, about a mile in length. Everybody went except Toot - who decided to take a nap in the house instead.

The cats usually walk with us all the time, but today, it was just Hoot. They get a little needy if there is just one of them on the walk, and I carry them a little bit to make them happy. If they both go, they are quite happy to run around doing their "cat things".

One of the few pics that I have of me and the dogs.

I've been picking tics off all of us all evening!

The tics are horrible! And in later summer when they finally go away , the chiggers start up, which are really even worse because you can't see them or pick them off once they attach - only "good" thing about them is that they don't spread any disease. We pick tics off all spring and summer. It's probably the thing I hate worst about where we live - but the rest is pretty good - 70 acres of hilly, trailed woods, a pond, etc.

Wow. don't have chiggers here in Oregon that I know of.. sounds bothersome for sure but 70 acres is worth EVERYTHING!!! Never been to OHIO.. know nothing about it... I'm a west coast girl....

Lewis and Clark LOVED to stealth along with Paddy and me when we'd go for a walk in the park after dark. Four glowing eyes trailing us... watching, watching, watching...
