My boy turned 2 yrs old today. We also found out today that Newton has CHD. I had a lot of hope for him, yet something told me from the begining that something wasn't right . So today instead of celebrating, we are taking it easy, and planning out the next steps that will follow.

Good thoughts on the CHD.
Happy Birthday, Newton!
I'm so sorry about the CHD - how bad is it?
Happy Birthday, Newton! Sorry to hear about the CHD. I hope it's not bad and totally manageable.

I am no expert by any means, yet when the first words out of the vets mouth, you didn't have any significant plans for this dog did you...I knew then it wasn't good. I could post a pic of the Xrays, but Sockets are out, and the vet seemed a bit concerned. She was acutally surprised he is showing no signs of pain at this time. I'm crushed, kinda new something was up, but not to this extent. We were told to wait it out in the begining. Some dogs take longer to mature. I put my heart into him, and right now I am hurting pretty bad for him. The first trainer I took him to, told me he was a lost cause, take him back. I refused to listen. For every door that got closed on him (He was a tough nut to crack). I was going to prove them all wrong. We get so attached to them, want the best, they are our children. Just crying my eyes out for him right now.
Oh I am so sorry you and him are having to deal with this. They are our children so hang in there, prayers.
Happy Birthday, Newton. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. Good thoughts for both of you.
Happy Birthday Newton!
