Most of you folks know that I rarely ever post here. At the same time I think that you're aware that I am the official photogapher person for this family (unless they are distorted, out of focus or have a shadow across the target) ... and then those are Jim's. And while I don't post more than once or twice a year at most, rest assured I've read almost every thread that involved any of our "children" since Jim first signed up at JL back in 1999 when Cappy became part of our family.
First, we want to acknowledge yet another totally unexpected but very much appreciated gift that arrived here this morning. It's already proudly hanging in its new location in the enclosed porch adjacent to the dog run. There's a Ducks Unlimited windmill on the lanai just outside of the porch. Cappy used to lay on the concrete right next to that from a shaded and cool location so he could watch the ducks and geese out in the pond 40 yards away.
As much as we love Remi and Rusty, Cappy will always hold that one very special place in our hearts ... he truly was what some call that "once-in-a-lifetime dog". It's much like having a number of children, you actually do love them all, sometimes in different ways, but in truth one usually touches your soul in a little different way than the others. Cappy certainly did that with Jim.
Your kind words, thoughts and good wishes have always been important to us. They are ever so much more meaningful at times of strife and mourning. Thank you again, everyone.
AKA Cappy's Mom
Remi and Rusty aren't my whole life. They're trying to fill the hole in my heart left by Cappy's passing.
I feel like I know you, from Jim's posts about you and the dawgs. I wish I had been a part of this gift, I'm sad to say I was not. I didn't know about it until Jim posted it here. I haven't been on JL as much lately so I guess I missed it.
You have my deepest condolences. We all adored Cappy.

Glad you like it.

Hi, Carol. It's a lovely tribute to Cappy. Thinking of your family. I've so enjoyed watching all the dogs work and play.

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
All of you that belonged to Cappy are in our hearts and memories. A special dog with and extra special family, 2 and 4 legged.
