    DefaultK-Laser treatments: Legit or gimmick??

My vet has suggested that we look into have K-Laser treatments done on Rukus to help his post-surgery healing (he had a TTA done on 3/8). Has anyone had these done?? I'm not sure what to think about it...

On the one hand, if it's going to help with his healing and long-term prognosis...then I'm all for it! But on the other hand, it seems to be a pretty new treatment and am wondering if it's all that it's cracked up to be. Has anyone had these done or know of anyone that has had them done?? What were your/their results?? Is it worth the $125 price tag???

No, it's not worth the $125 price tag.
Many, many dogs have healed just fine from these new ACL surgeries without all these extra treatments that orthos now offer-stem cell treatment, laser therapy, etc....in my opinion it's just another way to make money.

Java had back to back TPLOs and did not have any of the bells and whistles that some vets suggest and she has healed perfectly. She had 100% bone healing at 6 weeks after both surgeries.
If I were you, I'd save the money in case the other knee blows.

You make a very good point there. I think I'm going to skip it.
