    DefaultEar Infection :(

Sophie hasn't had an ear infection since she was 4 months old, and we changed her food. Today we found her right ear is all red and inflammed. I immediatly put in some Gentizol ear drops and called the vet. I have to pick up another tube today, since I was almost out of it. We aren't sure if it is caused from the turkey she got into, or if it is from playing in my nieces backyard Saturday. She had a ball, and playing in the mud, and water. She even hopped in the wheel barrow that had rain water in it and splashed around. I didn't make sure her ears were dried afterwards. I think it may be the turkey. We know she is allergic to chicken and she has been scratching her belly today.... sigh....

Boone use to get ear infections all the time, especially in his right ear. The last one he had (which was probably 4-5 years ago) the vet put in antibiotic pellets in his ears and he has never had one since. It is a pellet that slowly dissolves and clears up the infection. maybe your vet could do something like that.
